DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a network management protocol used to automate configuring devices on IP networks thus allowing them to use network services like DNS.

Basic Answer: DHCP basically assigns IP Addresses to computers, laptops, and other devices so these devices can use network services.

For DHCP, there are two sorts of computers to consider:

First, when you think about working computers, your own laptop, and so on, you think of individual computers, also known as hosts.

A server, on the other hand, is a computer that assists in the processing and transmission of data for other computers.

DHCP configuration primarily entails determining the scope of your DHCP server’s operation.

When setting up and configuring your DHCP server, there are various stages to take:
